BAKED HONEY GARLIC CHICKEN
You can bake this take-out favorite at home to crispy perfection. It’s cheaper, healthier, and much more delicious!
Baked chicken bites. Honey. Garlic. The title is enough.
There is no hot oil in this pot. There is no splattering or a burning sensation of any kind. After my oil splatter the other day, I’m going to avoid fried food for now.
This chicken is still crispy-tender and smothered with the sweet, garlicky sauce. This sauce is so delicious that you will want to double it or triple it and use it for other dishes. You can also add extra spice to your word. Or for guzzling.
Ingredients
- Cut 1 pound of skinless and boneless chicken breasts into 1-inch pieces
- To taste, add Kosher Salt and freshly ground Black Pepper
- Two large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup Panko*

- Honey, up to 1/3 cup or more, according to taste
- Four cloves garlic, minced
- Two tablespoons of soy sauce
- Optional: 1 tablespoon Sriracha
- One tablespoon cornstarch
- Green onions thinly sliced
- Sesame seeds two tablespoons
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly lubricate a 9×13-inch baking dish or spray with nonstick spray.
- Season the chicken to your taste with salt and black pepper. Working in batches, dip the chicken in eggs and then coat it with Panko.
- Add the chicken to the prepared baking dish. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the chicken is golden brown.
- Combine honey, garlic, and Sriracha, if you are using it, in a medium saucepan on medium heat. Combine cornstarch with 1/3 cup of water in a small bowl. Stir the mixture into a saucepan and cook until it thickens, approximately 1-2 minutes. Add the chicken and gently mix.
- Garnish with sesame and green onions if you wish.
